The Great Western Super Centre was acquired by Brookfield Multiplex in 2003 with a proposal to expand the centre to the adjacent ex quarry site.  The centre is anchored by a Woolworths and includes an internal mall and bulky goods component.  The existing centre had a combined total GLA of 15,067m².  Ryan Andersen was appointed as Project Director for the redevelopment which proposed an extension of the neighbourhood centre to a 28,000m² sub-regional centre anchored by Woolworths and Big W and a 25,000m² bulky goods centre anchored by Bunnings.
