Population growth and the manner in which we accommodate people is a major issue for all capital cities in Australia. The greater Brisbane Local Government Area alone is forecast to require 156,000 new dwellings over the next 20 years, with 138,000 of these coming from infill development and urban renewal. This target might not sound too hard to achieve over a long term, but equates to the construction of 115, 10-storey (60 unit) apartment towers per year for the next 20 years. It is unlikely that this number of residential towers have been built in the Brisbane LGA to date. Meeting the accommodation needs of our growing cities and major centres will require a range of built form approaches that work in terms of community acceptance, affordability, planning and design.
DMA Partners have conceived, advised on, and managed the development of broad acre, townhouse, multi-unit and apartment tower projects across South-East Queensland for public and private clients. Our understanding of property economics, planning, design and construction allow us to provide bespoke solutions that suit each clients’ needs, aspirations and appetite for risk.
