When new luxury hotel THE CALILE opens in Fortitude Valley’s James Street in mid-2018, the DMA Partners’ team will be raising our glasses to the newest landmark in the iconic urban lifestyle precinct. And, it’s highly likely that we will be celebrating around one of the pool-side cabanas which will sit high above street level within the “urban oasis”.

Located at the intersection of Wandoo, Doggett and James Streets, THE CALILE will be seven storeys of luxury, with 178 hotel rooms and suites, a function centre, day spa, fitness club and business centre. At street level, there will be more than 1750 square metres of retail and restaurant space, further adding to the appeal of the renowned James Street Precinct.

THE CALILE is the latest high end project from Calile Malouf Investments (CMI), the creator of the James Street Market. Calile Malouf engaged DMA Partners to undertake project scoping for both early works and the main build which involved identifying and engaging the early works contractor.

CMI engaged DMA to establish and cost the site preparation works which featured the demolition of existing buildings, disconnection and relocation of in-ground services, plus site excavation and shoring to allow for the construction of the basement car park capable of holding more than 220-vehicles.

DMA then headed the tendering and negotiation of the civil works and major works contractors, resulting in the appointment of Delta for civils and Hutchinson Builders for the main works contact.

With work now well underway on site, we are looking forward to seeing THE CALILE vision realised next year.
