Often these resources are difficult to find in one single resource, and DMA has carefully grown an expert team that has the full range of experience to service our projects at the right cost for our clients and partners.
Managing Director
Ryan is a senior property executive with over 23 years’ experience in engineering, construction and development roles around Australia. Ryan is the Managing Director of DMA Partners which he co-founded in 2008 after a successful career leading projects nationally for Westfield and Multiplex (now Brookfield). His corporate construction and development experience includes a number of large regional and super regional shopping centres and as Development Project Director leading the $1.5b Portside Wharf and Brisbane Cruise Terminal mixed use project.
DMA Partners was borne out of a clear gap in the market for specialist and end-to-end advice, leadership and management of development projects and the repositioning of existing property assets. Ryan has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge advising a range of high net worth investors and some of Australia’s most successful developers and funds managers, as well as international development groups and governments.
Ryan has advised and led projects of all sizes across the retail, commercial, residential, and mixed use sectors around Australia. He has developed a robust, commercially-led approach to structuring projects to meet the market and deliver strong returns. Ryan is highly experienced in negotiating commercial transactions to support the end value of development projects and to ensure the delivery of highly valuable investment grade assets to the market.
Ryan leads the DMA Partners team and the strategic direction of the company to ensure the skills and experience of his team are constantly evolving and improving to support his clients. He has a deep passion for his work and advocacy in the retail and mixed use sectors and has held a position in the Retail Committee of the Property Council of Australia for 8 years. Ryan travels domestically and internationally to experience and gain knowledge of the latest and most innovative projects around the world and brings new thinking to each client and project engagement.
Associate Director - Development
With over twenty years of experience in the property and construction industry, Matthew has sourced and delivered developments across retail, commercial and residential sectors including significant mixed-use projects. Passionate about ideas he maintains a key focus on the user experience and the investment performance of every property development project, believing both are indicators of long-term success.
Since 1994 Matthew has worked as a project manager on significant local and international projects at senior management levels including numerous Coles and Woolworths Shopping Centre developments, the $300m Santos Place in Brisbane, the Brisbane International Airport for Nuance International and the Royal Bank of Scotland’s $200m inner city accommodation strategy at 280 Bishopsgate & Premier Place in London.
Matthew started his career in property development in 2002 with Brisbane based developer Nielson Properties where he undertook post graduate studies in property economics and established a successful career as a development manager.
Associate
David is an Associate at DMA Partners and a highly experienced senior project manager with a hands-on approach. He has a great interest in the retail, tourism and leisure industry after a successful 19-year career working for John Clarke & Associates.
David has strong experience with residential, retail and mixed use projects of varying sizes and values and has been involved in all stages of a project lifecycle from inception and concept through to practical completion.
David has worked on projects internationally including water parks in Beijing and Nanjing, sporting stadiums in Papua New Guinea and on various international attractions.
Associate
James is a Development Project Manager at DMA Partners with over 12 years’ experience in design, documentation, project and development management. Holding Masters degrees in both Architecture and Project Management, James developed a fundamental set of transferable skills early in his career across a range of diverse projects through his work for clients such as Coles Property Group, Stockland and Anthony John Group.
More recently James has specialised in large city-shaping projects, including the $150m extension to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, the masterplan and development strategy for the $3b Brisbane Transit Centre in line with Cross River Rail and work for the Queensland Government on the Brisbane bid for the 2032 Olympics. James is also the project director for the $140m Yamanto Central retail development project leading the project team as the development partner for the project across all phases of development.
James takes the opportunity to be a project leader. Proactively using project management tools and processes to add value at every stage. Through strong communication James ensures he understands the relationships within a project and closely manages the stakeholders to drive the best possible result for the client, community and end user.
Associate
Cameron joins the DMA Partners team with over 20 years of property industry experience and a broad depth of knowledge and experience working across various development sectors. His professional background as an Architect combined with significant experience working in various sectors of the development industry is the basis of his strengths in all aspects of design and project management.
Prior to joining DMA Partners, Cameron worked in senior project roles with Facility Managers Australia, Compass Project Management, The Ryan Group and QM Properties. He has worked as a Development Project Manager and Project Architect on both the client side and contractor side in the development industry.
Cameron has undertaken many roles for various projects from inception at a master planning and feasibility level to facilitation of authority approvals, leasing and financing and delivery of completed projects ranging in size and complexity.
In his role as Associate at DMA Partners, Cameron has been working closely with our retail clients including Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and SCA Property Group along with projects in other sectors including medium density residential and childcare.
Development Project Manager
Geordie is a Development Project Manager with over ten years’ experience in development, project management and advisory. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Property Economics, Geordie has a strong commercial acumen that has been coupled with delivery experience.
Geordie’s experience includes working as a client side Project Manager on a number of large mixed use OSD schemes with in excess of AUD$700M in London over four years. Geordie gained invaluable development delivery experience with FTSE listed developers and Tier 1 contractors.
Geordie also worked with Macquarie Group as a Development Manager on their Integrated Station Development in Martin Place, Sydney with an end asset value of over $1 Billion. Prior to Sydney and London, Geordie worked with DMA Partners in South East Queensland for a number of years on assets undertaking lease administration, tenancy coordination, development management and advisory services. Geordie returned to DMA in 2020.
Geordie’s experience across all stages of the property development lifecycle has provided him with a forward thinking mindset and strong understanding of the project controls to successfully manage projects. This ensures he is able to lead projects whilst maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
Project Manager
Amelia joins the DMA Partners team with over 10 years of experience in the design and construction industry. Amelia is a Registered Architect with a background in residential, education and community projects. Amelia holds a Master of Architecture from QUT, as well as studying at the Politecnico di Milano in Italy.
Prior to joining DMA, Amelia worked in Sydney for Architecture firms Trebilcock & Associates and Fulton Trotter.
Amelia has experience across all stages of a project, from conception to completion and through this has gained a strong understanding of project management and complex construction processes.
Project Manager
David joins the DMA Partners team with over 10 years of experience in design, documentation and project management. Holding a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Architecture, David has extensive experience in delivering projects of varying sizes and values and has been involved in all stages of the project lifecycle from conception through to practical completion.
Prior to joining DMA Partners, David worked as a design and project manager with major property development and architecture firms both in Australia and overseas. David has worked on retail, residential and commercial fit outs with a strong focus on delivering quality projects on time and within budget, as well as improving and streamlining processes.
Operations Manager
Claire has 15+ years’ experience in administration, with over 10 years in the Development and Construction Industry, with significant experience in contract and project administration.
Claire provides support to the Managing Director and is responsible for the management of the office.
Claire has a Diploma in Building and Construction and a Certificate IV in Property Services.
Project Administrator
Alice is a project administrator with five years experience in administration of development and construction projects. Alice supports the DMA project teams with a strong background in administration and project support. Recently working on the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre Redevelopment where she worked for the client collaborating closely with the DMA project leads for the last two years.
Alice’s recent studies at the University of Queensland had a focus on built form heritage and how purposeful reuse of heritage buildings is essential to city placemaking.
Alice’s skillset has strong emphasis on quality, efficiency, and organisation allowing project leads to focus on client deliverables and the wider development.
Development Analyst
Amanda is a Development Analyst with a strong background in research. She joined the DMA Partners team with over 9 years experience in the property industry, 6 of which has been focused in property research.
Amanda’s previous role as Queensland Research Manager for Oliver Hume Corporation allowed her to work on numerous projects at different intervals of the project lifecycle. This role afforded her the opportunity to work with a variety of vendors, from local developers to national operators.
Amanda has experience in providing in depth analysis of property trends, market insights and industry commentary for strategic collateral to assist in targeted marketing strategies and development site acquisitions. This research helps form the foundation of critical decisions and project direction.
