Ryan founded his early career as a civil/structural engineer, and in development and construction roles with Westfield and Multiplex Constructions.
During these early years, Ryan gained major project experience on large urban renewal and transit-oriented developments such as Portside Wharf, Brisbane Cruise Terminal, and a range of Westfield retail projects nationally.
In 2008 Ryan co-founded DMA and today remains as the sole shareholder. With 20 years of experience in the property industry, Ryan has developed a structured approach to the planning and delivery of development projects and continues to refine this approach and support the growing team at DMA to ensure that knowledge and experience benefits all of our clients.
Ryan is unashamedly commercial in his approach, believing that the commerce of project remains as the first priority for his clients. While he has significant experience in the entire development lifecycle, Ryan’s passion is in partnering with his clients to structure a robust development plan before setting off to deliver on the vision that has been set.

With over twenty years of experience in the property and construction industry, Matthew has sourced and delivered developments across retail, commercial and residential sectors including significant mixed-use projects. Passionate about ideas he maintains a key focus on the user experience and the investment performance of every property development project, believing both are indicators of long-term success.
Since 1994 Matthew has worked as a project manager on significant local and internationally projects including the Brisbane International Airport for Nuance International and the Royal Bank of Scotland’s $200M inner city accommodation strategy at 280 Bishopsgate & Premier Place in London.
Matthew started his career in property development in 2002 with Brisbane based developer Nielson Properties where he undertook post graduate studies in property economics and market research and established a successful career as a development manager.

John is an Associate Director at DMA Partners and leads the Project Management business after a successful 25-year career with companies including Greencross Limited, Woolworths Limited, Australian Leisure and Hospitality and Ross Nielson Properties.
John’s particular passion is for successful project delivery. Having had significant exposure to the full development industry lifecycle, John has extensive experience in all phases of development: due diligence, development applications and approvals, tendering and procurement, construction, fitout and commissioning.
John has a philosophy of Strength of Concept as a delivery strategy to ensure project success. This strategy has delivered numerous award winning developments, such as the Breakfast Creek Hotel, Everton Park Urban Village and Saddlery Trading Company.
By properly briefing and understanding his client’s team requirements, John can ensure that the Strength of Concept is identified and maintained throughout the entire project delivery phase.

David is an Associate at DMA Partners and a highly experienced senior project manager with a hands-on approach. He has a great interest in the retail, tourism and leisure industry after a successful 19-year career working for John Clarke & Associates.
David has strong experience with residential, retail and mixed use projects of varying sizes and values and has been involved in all stages of a project lifecycle from inception and concept through to practical completion.
David has worked on projects internationally including water parks in Beijing and Nanjing, sporting stadiums in Papua New Guinea and on various international attractions.

David graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008 with a Bachelor of Business Management (economics) and after working for over 7 years as a property economic consultant has developed a strong understanding across a range of property sectors including retail, commercial and short term accommodation.
After starting his career at Urban Economics in 2008, David moved to Urbis in 2010 where he was a part of the Property Economics and Research team assisting clients in understanding the drivers of property markets and how they influence potential development opportunities. He has been responsible for a number of key mixed use, urban regeneration/renewal projects and greenfield retail developments across South East Queensland.
Joining DMA Partners in 2016 as an Assistant Development Manager, David assists the Directors and Project Managers with advisory, development management and tenancy co-ordination tasks to support the development management capabilities that DMA Partners provide.
With an advisory background, David has strong attention to detail and client focus. He continues to further his knowledge of development processes and his understanding of financial and contractual arrangements.

James is a registered architect and has worked in a number of landmark projects since 2007 before joining DMA Partners in 2016.
During his career in architecture, James gained significant experience in design and management of design teams on projects up to $145m in value. James developed an interest in project management early on in his career which led him to undertake a Master of Project Management in 2013.
James supports the development and project management teams at DMA on a number of key projects in the retail and hotel sectors to ensure projects are managed and client profitability is maximised.
Assistant Project Manager

Taaj joins the DMA Partners team with a strong background in contracts administration and geotechnical engineering. After starting his career as a graduate geotechnical engineer with Aurecon, Taaj went on to work with large companies such as Jacobs and Queensland Urban Utilities.
Taaj graduated from the University of Queensland in 2015 with a Bachelor of Civil and Geotechnical Engineering (Honours).
While at Jacobs, Taaj was involved in Stage 2A of the Australian Defence Force’s Project Land 121, which involved the national rollout of quartermaster stores, weighbridges, vehicle wash points, delivery points, shelters and hardstands. Taaj assisted in a range of activities including project management, contract administration and commercial management.
Taaj’s role at DMA Partners is focused on client-side project management, and he is passionate about residential and commercial construction, project management and property development.
Senior Leasing Executive

Ewen is responsible for assisting the Director and Development teams in relevant consulting services including advisory, leasing and general business development by providing speciality leasing services to clients. Ewen is also responsible for client interaction and management, liaising with internal tenancy coordinators on leased projects and management of consultant teams and specialist advisors.
Ewen’s background includes over 10 years of industry experience across various asset classes, with early retail leasing appointments with JLL and Juniper Development Group. Ewen was recently working with Retail Food Group, responsible for new site and renewal requirements across the national Donut King portfolio (about 300 stores), providing outstanding insight into franchise business systems and tenant trade dynamics.
Ewen has a high level of property industry knowledge and inherent passion regarding the dynamics of retail centres, designing tenancy mixes & optimising outcomes. To this end, Ewen has recently worked on substantial projects for Retail First and Alchemy IP, with current focus on providing effective solutions advice for project leasing requirements.

Tyson joins the DMA team with an extensive leasing background having represented both landlords and tenants during his seven plus years in property leasing. After starting his career at Ray White Commercial, Tyson spent four years in the tenant advisory space with most of this time spent at Retail Food Group opening new sites all over Australia for brands that include Donut King, Brumby’s Bakery, Crust Pizza & Pizza Capers.
More recently Tyson has joined DMA from Sentinel Property Group where he managed a national portfolio of neighbourhood shopping centres and large format retail centres as well as working closely with the acquisitions team, project management team and senior management to deliver on budgets and company objectives.
Tyson has in-depth industry knowledge of retail shop leases as well as retail business operations owning multiple franchise operations personally. He brings this knowledge and understanding to build on DMA’s capability to drive and deliver on income targets for all project leasing requirements.

Wendy has 20+ years’ experience in administration after starting her career in the legal industry and more recently working in construction & engineering, superannuation funds investment, health and finance.
Since joining DMA Partners, Wendy has taken on the role of coordinator of marketing activities and event management for the company. Wendy is also responsible for managing the office and providing executive support to the Managing Director.
Wendy is a Justice of the Peace (Qualified) and is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Business, with a double major in Marketing & Management through Central Queensland University.

Nick joined DMA Partners after completing the Knight Frank Student Program in October 2017. His time at Knight Frank gave him a broad overview of commercial agency, working on various campaigns across a range of commercial grade assets.
Nick’s role involves research and detailed market analysis, overseeing market transactions, compiling memorandums and feasibility studies in order to support the development operations of the business and service offering.
Nick was selected by a university lecturer to work on a community development project for the province of Kirakira in the Solomon Islands. The project aims to improve living conditions of remote indigenous communities through built form with additional infrastructure.
Nick is passionate about furthering his understanding of the development process, particularly identifying the highest and best use for properties.

Diann has extensive knowledge in all facets of asset management with over 15 years’ experience. She has managed all types of retail property from strip centres to sub regional shopping centres both locally and remotely. Diann also has extensive experience with both commercial and industrial properties having managed all combinations including strata industrial sheds right through to CBD office towers. Diann has also occupied positions as an Asset Manager overseeing a portfolio of retail centres and staff, and as a Business Development Manager building a commercial property management division for Savills on the Sunshine Coast.
Diann is well known for her ability to transform problematic properties and she thrives on a challenge. Her vast knowledge has seen her appointed time and time again by Receivers who require an almost forensic approach to take over and transform neglected assets and prepare them for sale.
Before commencing with DMA Partners, Diann was appointment as Centre Manager for Reed Property Group’s Big Top Shopping Centre which saw her successfully manage the trading shopping centre through a $25 million centre refurbishment and a $10 million Woolworths refit. Diann worked closely with DMA Partners and the construction team to deliver the project and was involved in all aspects from initial concept and design, feasibility, tenancy mix and leasing, operational dynamics, FFE and procurement, tendering of maintenance and service contracts and launch.
