Springfield Fair was one of the first shopping centres developed as part of the Springfield master planned community.  A convenience-based neighbourhood shopping centre, which over the years has become a little tired.

The dated aesthetic and functionality, along with increased competition, has impacted customer perception and retail performance of the centre.

DMA Partners was initially appointed to undertake a repositioning strategy to improve the overall performance, income, customer experience and tenant attraction to the centre.  Once approved by the landlord, DMA was then appointed to manage the project including a DA for the proposed expansion.  The project has now gained development approval from Ipswich City Council and is approaching tender phase.

Our services to the client include Development Advisory & Management, Project Management, Tenancy Delivery and Major Tenant Negotiations.

The proposed project scope includes significant enhancements to the centre entry statement including an additional 500m2 of food & beverage retail and outdoor dining spaces, pylon signage, car park lighting and line marketing, landscaping and the addition of Coles Click & Collect parking bays.  All of which significantly lift the overall quality of the asset to align with current market expectations for local convenience based shopping centres.

Construction is set to commence late 2019.
