To remain ahead of the pack in the highly competitive world of elite professional sport the Broncos decided in 2013 to investigate in the development of a single facility that would house their playing, training, commercial, merchandising, finance and executive functions under a single roof, with the field, gym and physiological facilities to support a 21st century professional rugby league team.
DMA Partners was engaged by the Broncos directly to work closely with the management and coaching teams to develop a design that fit the initial brief for the players, coaches and training staff. Time was of the essence to ensure the new facility was delivered in time for the 2017 season.
The site for the project was provided by the Queensland Government on a long term leasehold basis. The project presented many planning, business and grant funding challenges and opportunities that DMA managed as a single point of responsibility for the client including commercial advisory services.
After commencement of construction in early 2016, final delivery of the project was managed by a previous director of DMA Partners (James Basham) after he left DMA Partners in April 2016.
The building remains a successful asset for the Brisbane Broncos players, coaches and management team including the public. DMA Partners is very proud to have played our part in turning an early idea into a reality which has resulted in such a valuable asset for all stakeholders.
