The Sports Performance Centre at St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School represents innovative design meeting functional excellence. This state-of-the-art facility features two multi-purpose indoor courts accommodating basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton, and futsal, alongside dedicated spaces for sports performance analysis and classroom teaching.

The project showcases forward-thinking solutions in both structure and sustainability. At its heart stands an impressive engineered timber structure, with soaring 23-meter portal spans creating an expansive, column-free space. The dramatic architectural form includes a northern arbour that provides natural shade while complementing the building’s aesthetic appeal. This considered use of timber not only delivers environmental benefits but creates an inspiring atmosphere that enhances the learning and sporting experience.

Innovation extends to the facility’s flood resilience, with the incorporation of removable sports flooring—a pragmatic solution that protects this valuable community asset. Combined with modern amenities and office spaces, the Sports Performance Centre stands as a testament to St Aidan’s commitment to delivering facilities that serve both current needs and future challenges. DMA Partners are proud to have managed this world-class complex through to delivery.
