DMA Partners was engaged as project managers for QIC’s addition of a major entertainment tenant at the Maroochydore Big Top Shopping Centre.

The project involved the management of the development and fit out construction of a Funlab  Strike Bowling and Holey Moley mini golf precinct. The final space features 10 state-of-the-art bowling lanes, an 18-hole mini golf course, cocktail bar and escape rooms. This addition to the centre has significantly improved the level of patronage and improved the already successful Ocean Street dining precinct that DMA developed in 2014 working with the previous owners, The Read Property Group.

DMA was appointed by the developer to undertake an assessment of the retail configuration and to advise on the restructure of the asset to maximise valuation and functional design. DMA’s ongoing role is to model the project feasibility options and provide input into the retail configuration and also to negotiate the major tenant lease with a supermarket operator. The project includes 1600 student beds that are currently under construction and a further three towers including residential and commercial uses all sitting over a large retail podium structure.
